Pikwon terms of service

Welcome to Pikwon (“the App”). Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the App. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and [legal entity name]. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.
Beta
The App is currently in beta testing. It may change, including through the removal or resetting of data, at any point if necessary. By using the App you acknowledge and accept that data you submit or create within it may be subject to removal or reset.
Who can use Pikwon
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. We ask for your date of birth when you create your account and refuse accounts below that age. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will remove it.
Your account
To use most of the App you need an account. You can create one with an email address — we send a single-use code to that address — or with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to whichever address or provider account you sign in with, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@pikwon.app if you believe someone else has gained access to it.
You choose a username, which is public and appears on everything you post.
Your content
The App lets you post, select, and share text content (“User Content”). You are responsible for the User Content you create and you keep all ownership rights in it. By posting User Content, you grant Pikwon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform it in connection with operating and promoting the App.
Posts you make outside a private group are public, including to people who are not signed in: a shared link opens a page anyone can read.
Acceptable use
When using the App, you agree not to:
- Post or transmit User Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
- Post or transmit User Content that infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights;
- Use the App in a way that interferes with, disrupts, or degrades it for other people, or that damages, disables, or overburdens it;
- Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or to any account, server, or network connected to it;
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their express consent;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related feature;
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
The App has a reporting tool. We review what is reported and may remove content or suspend accounts under this section.
Intellectual property
The App and its original content — everything other than User Content — are and remain the exclusive property of Pikwon and its licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the App without express written permission.
Service providers
We use third-party providers to run the App — hosting, databases, email delivery, product analytics, and error monitoring. They process data on our behalf and only to provide those services. Which providers, and what each receives, is set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile and your private data and detaches your identity from what you posted; because posts, picks and comments are woven into other people’s threads and counts, that content itself remains, anonymised. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what is removed and what is kept.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. On termination your right to use the App ends immediately.
Disclaimer of warranty
The App is provided on an “as-is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Pikwon does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. You use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pikwon and its officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, and licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [state], without regard to its conflict of law principles, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in [county, state].
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email, and the effective date at the top of this page will move. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
Entire agreement
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Pikwon regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior understandings. Questions go to hello@pikwon.app.
